We’re not sure if Perth has gone so bonkers over this plant because its name – swiss cheese plant (Monstera Adansonii) reminds them how much they love cheese or because of how epic the holey leaves look dangling from any surface in your house. Either way, you are going to love this bad boy!

Bright, indirect sunlight. They are a tropical plant so they like to be in a warm environment. A freezing cold bathroom is not the place for this guy in winter!
Remember that this plant hails from very tropical regions where it is constantly humid, so you are going to want to ensure that he doesn’t dry out and give him a regular spritz of water (at least daily). When the top one to two inches of soil is dry, it’s time to water again—about 1 tall glass. Water requirements in winter will be much less so keep an eye on the soil.
We recommend leaving a jug of water out overnight so that the chlorine can evaporate and won’t brown the leaves. Filtered water is also a good option.
To maintain consistent humidity, add some pebbles and water to the pot tray (but make sure the water isn’t high enough to be absorbed into the base of the plant.
Feed with a slow-release fertiliser once every six months following the instructions on the packet (remember, when you receive a plant from Green Assembly, it has enough slow-release fertiliser to last the first six months). During the warmer months, he likes a drink of the stinky liquid fish stuff (like Seasol) fortnightly, again be sure to follow the dilution instructions on the packet. Then sit back and watch him uncurl fresh new leaves.
